SchneidmillerI am Amy Schneidmiller, and I have a graduate degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. Naropa University is the only accredited Buddhist University in the United States.

I have been in the counseling and human services field since 1994 working with various populations of people. It has been my personal experience that present moment attention and focus can greatly impact any situation as it unfolds.

It is my belief that judgment, on the part of the therapist as well as the client, can hamper growth, acceptance, and larger meaning out of a situation. I am an avid traveler and appreciate a multicultural approach to counseling, and my many travels still lead me to knowing that there is not one way to approach a situation, a problem, or a challenge. It is my priority to challenge you, helping to see new ideas, greater awareness, and understanding your emotions, thoughts and feelings, and bodily sensations in the moment of awareness.

My style is direct, yet empathetic; I work to understand where you are coming from. My theoretical background is eclectic. I use Family Systems Theory, Rogerian/Client Centered approaches, Gestalt/Attention to Present Moment, Eriksonian, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches with my clients. I can be reached at 206.228.3623 or schneidae@yahoo.com and you can visit www.edmondswellnessclinic.com
