Lori MaattaIt is my goal to help people in making positive change in their lives. I have helped people with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, guilt, stress, self-esteem problems, communication issues, childhood abuse, addiction, domestic violence, elder care issues, relationship difficulties, life transitions, post-traumatic stress and personality disorders. I will provide thoughtful contemplation regarding your concerns asking you to explore them on a deeper level. Change is facilitated by this process of uncovering. Together, we may explore self-soothing activities, mindfulness, living in the now, spiritual expression and changing thought patterns. I believe that therapy is a collaboration between therapist and client. I will work hard for you and will be expecting you to take an active role in your own growth. I am friendly, kind, non-judgmental and will provide a safe environment for our work.

I hold a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. I have been working in social services for over 15 years. I enjoy and look forward to working with people with diverse backgrounds.

I believe therapy should be accessible to all and have sets my fees accordingly. My fees are $50 per 50 minute session. Depending on your circumstances, I am open to making adjustments to my fees. At this time I am not accepting insurance. Please contact me for a free consultation at 503.516.1825. I look forward to hearing from you.
