Ken ShermanMy approach to psychotherapy is holistic; working with, as appropriate, body, mind, emotions, and spirit. My own daily contemplative practices help me in facilitating non-judgmental acceptance. Paradoxically, when we do fully accept ourselves as we are, positive change is then most likely to emerge.

I work with adult individuals (and couples) with depression, stress, anxiety, panic, trauma, substance abuse, interpersonal difficulties, or those who are struggling with personal or spiritual growth. I also offer supervision to clinicians. I am deeply respectful of each person's unique path to healing and growth. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative and empowering.

You are welcome to call for a free ten minute telephone consultation, with no obligation, to see if we might be a good match. For detailed information on insurance and fees, and links to mental health resources, please visit my web site.

I am a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor, #4745, and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, #530. I am an adjunct faculty member in the graduate Counseling and Psychology Division of Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I am a professional member of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, the American Mental Health Counselors Association, and the American Counseling Association.
