As a graduate of Naropa University (www.naropa.edu) my counseling training is based in contemplative practice. I believe the foundation of physical, mental, and spiritual health is the ability to be aware of ourselves, and the present moment. Although seemingly simple, the cultivation of the skills necessary to be present can be quite challenging without support and guidance, especially when what we are noticing is painful or uncomfortable. The ability to be comfortable with uncomfortable-ness is one key to taking radical personal responsibility for our lives. Doing this allows us to move into the life of our TRUE selves, and out of the confusion and chaos created by the small self. This work can be done in the office, or, I also offer equine-facilitated psychotherapy for those who feel called to working with horses and self-exploration in this way. For more information on the type of psychotherapy I offer, please visit my website at: www.radicalpersonalresponsibility.com.
My trainings and certifications include EMDR Level I, PEAK Parent Center Training on Inclusive Education and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Horse-wise Mentorship Training and Spirit Horse Ranch. I offer a sliding scale and do not take insurance.
I specialize in relationships, anxiety, radical personal responsibility groups, parents of children with disabilities, and those called to equine-facilitated psychotherapy.
