If you are struggling with feelings of anger, isolation, anxiety, or depression, Contemplative Therapy can help. Together in therapy, we will practice presence, empathy and mindfulness within a therapeutic frame to explore the questions and conflicts that prevent you from living more authentically and realizing your true nature. Through mindfulness practices, you will enhance your ability to observe the ways that you separate yourself from the full experience of life and relationship with others. Through an exploration of your history and the narrative of your life, you will experience yourself in new and original ways.
A graduate of JFK University and Registered MFT Intern, I have a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology with a focus on Existential/Contemplative Therapy. My existential/contemplative training was undertaken with Ken Bradford, PhD. Dr. Bradford is a protege of Bugental and a leading author and teacher of Buddhist Psychology and Contemplative Psychotherapy. My personal practice includes daily meditation, yoga, and mindfulness.
In addition to individual, couples and family therapy, I offer ongoing weekly therapy groups as a part of my practice. Currently, I have openings in the Divorce/Separation Therapy Group and in the Mindfulness Therapy Group. For information on the groups, please see my website.
My regular fee is $90. A sliding scale is available to those with financial need. .
