Patricia FrischI am a licensed Psychologist & MFT in Northern California practicing for 25 years. Individuals seek therapy to find or renew a sense of meaning and well being, some are engaged in a transpersonal quest. Couples and families come to improve the quality of their relationship by developing better communication skills and openness to each other. Other clinical issues include depression, anxiety, divorce, grief.

I have been deeply influenced by Carl Jung who understood the drive toward individuation and the importance of dreams as inner guidance.

I have also been influenced by the writings of Wilhelm Reich and his therapeutic approach which includes focus on the breath and musculature to release deep feeling, memory and insight.

Twice a year I lead 5-day workshops at Esalen Institute: a training workshop for mental health professionals and a transformational workshop for the general public.

I am ordained in the Order of Interbeing, the community of Thich Nhat Hanh. My internal practice of mindfulness, concentration and insight informs the way I do therapy. Deep insight is helpful in freeing the present. Our historical difficulties become an integral part of our spiritual practice.
